Engine and Gears
A 4045T turbo charged engine powers the John Deere 310G to give a gross output of 79 horsepower. This engine was designed to help supply brute strength but was also fitted with custom made valves for precise operation. The 310G is also very economical in terms of fuel consumption at 1.1 to 1.9 gallons per hour.
It has a four-speed gear system which has a collar shift transmission and a hydraulic reverser. It can run from 3.6mph to 22 mph forward. The heavy duty final drives ensure that the shock loads are evenly distributed.
The operator will not have any difficulty turning the 310G since it has a hydrostatic power steering system that conforms to ISO standards.
The 310G will stop in your command using the power assisted hydraulic wet discs brakes which are self adjusting and self equalizing depending on the terrain conditions.
Hydraulics
The hydraulics has been innovated to make coupling with attachments quick and very easy. This innovative design is similar to what 310SG, 410G, and 710G have. The 310G can use attachments for Deere’s, JRB’s, as well as that of Caterpillar’s.
Some of the attachments that work with the 310G are pallet forks, heavy duty buckets, and multipurpose buckets. The attachments are optimally designed to give the operator a sense of the leveling or a clear perspective from the cab to safely navigate and operate them.
